This is the second in a series of lettering pieces dedicated to the important fluffs in my life (you can see the first instalment about my dog Chip here.) This one is all about my girl Mil.
Imagine waking up to this perfect little mush every day for 16 years. This is Milly, the sassiest member of our household (although I’m probably a close second ;))
Milly has been with me since I was 7 years old, and I literally don’t remember life without her in it. She’s hilarious, and secretly a big softie, and shows her love by gently biting you (or at least this is what I tell my friends so that they don’t sue me if she bites them…)
She’s becoming increasingly reliant on me as she gets older, which I reckon her younger self would have been really pissed about. It’s a heartbreakingly painful reminder that she won’t be physically here with me forever – even though I’m pretty sure that wasn’t what we agreed to when we met. Being her human is the greatest privilege. Now if she could just live forever, that’d be great. Brb, just crying and telling her how beautiful she is.
